Degrading Human Capital
India scored the rank of 116 in World's Bank Human Capital Index on the recent report of a survey conducted by the the economic organization of the country. The 2020 Human Cpital Index update includes Health and Education data for almost 174 countries which is coveriing almost the 98% of the world's polulation.
The pandemeic of COVID-19 puts the people of the country at a risk the growth rate in terms of the human capiatl expansion in the form of survival rates, school enrollment, reduced stunting. Protecting and Investing in the people of the country is very very important for the nation to grow overall. Aso due to this COVIS-19 situation more than 1 billion childeen have not gone to school and average half have lost it as monetary losses could not be borne by the families.
Major Reasons for loss of human capiatal formation are-
- More modernization
- Increasing Privatisation
- Lack of health care facilities
- Lack of basic schooling
- Lack of Infrastructure
- Degrading Survival value of the life
It is really imporatnt to understand the true scenario of relationship between the Human Capital and Economic Growth of the country.
